Why are the Miami Heat losing?

Dwayne Wade

The most common reason why the Heat are losing most of their games this season and previous season is their lack of defense. Their offensive and defensive boards are not up to par, Chris Bosh, Chris Birdman Andersen and Udonis Haslem should be the top leaders in rebounds however there is no energy or effort every single game to hustle for the boards. They lack energy in the beginning of the games so therefore it stops them from performing their level and style of basketball. It has been a constant battle for the Miami Heat to perform their  best on defense why you may ask? It’s simple not everyone contributes defensively, If Haslem or Birdman are not diving for the rebounds and steals the team suffers that is when  they lose.  The two top players Lebron James and Dwayne Wade cannot do everything every single game so that is why is crucial for the bench and key players like Mario Chalmers, Norris Cole, Shane Battier,Michael Beasley  and James Jones  to step it up on defense in order for the Heat to win a third championship in a row.

I remember watching the Heat games in the early 90s with Alonzo Mourning and Tim Hardaway every single game was physical, aggressive, intense and pure joy to watch,  players gave it their all no matter who was their opponent. The rivalry between the Heat and The New York Knicks was a thrilling event to watch from the fights to close games but it was worth to watch as a fan and see the Heat win games.  THe NBA players  in this era are more into the money than the love of the game and that is what is missing now a days so therefore  it is difficult to get a player focus and determine to hustle for the steals and rebounds.  If the Heat can get their defense up to par and get aggressive on the boards they can beat any team in the league guarantee it will impress the rest of the teams.
